Preview: Here we are, guys – 3rd ODI it is. The series is level 1-1 and both teams have equal chance of taking it.
Dhoni has been banned for 2 ODIs and I feel its a bit harsh. Dhoni draws in a lot of crowd and he was a key player in the series. Banning players like this is just taking the charm away from the series with all the other players that are injured. Virender Sehwag has been made the captain and Dinesh Karthick comes in as the wicketkeeper. Maybe we could have called up Dravid as the keeper (Just a thought). Yuvraj Singh and Ishant Sharma make come backs. I think Sachin and Yuvraj are key players here. Sehwag hasn’t been a match winner in the ODIs very often (He’s the contrary in Test Matches) so I woudn’t rely on him. Just for the laughs or maybe serious – A lot of users on IndianCricketFans forum suggested that we should bring back Ajit Agarkar (Sir Aggy, as they call him), since no one can possibly do any worse than what Indian bowlers are delivering at the bottom. Interesting thought I would say.
Angelo Matthews had to fly back to Sri Lanka due to his injury and Ajantha Mendis comes back into the team. Kulasekara is back in the team as well. Dilshan and Sangakarra will be key men for Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is going in with two spinners, which is a good choice as the pitch is known to assist them.
Weather: Pretty hot and humid in Cuttack.
