How do you lot want your teams to approach the tournament?

I'd like England to go with youth and use T20's and ODI's this summer as the stepping stones for test cricket.

Would like England's side to be:

    Alex Hales
    Craig Kieswetter
    Kevin Pietersen
    Jonathan Bairstow
    Eoin Morgan
    Jos Buttler
    Chris Woakes
    Tim Bresnan
    Stuart Broad
    Graeme Swann
    Danny Briggs

    Samit Patel
    James Anderson
    Ben Stokes
    Jason Roy

Could bring Stokes or Patel in for any of the players in the team.

^ Too much spin, Uthappa can hit the ball but he is the most inconsistent Player ever man.

^ No he isn't. He is just not given enough chances. The most inconsistent player is Rohit Sharma

Uthappa - 38 ODIs - Average of 27 and HS of 86 and only 1 fifty in 11 T20I games he played. Not enough chances ?

What has Rohit Sharma done to keep getting chances?

Also, the fact is that Uthappa has improved so much now...

Who else would you have in that squad of yours instead of Sharma ?

Uthappa has a first class average of 40, Sharma has almost 64.

I don't have anything against him, Uthappa is a great talent but only thing he is inconsistent just like Sehwag.

Interesting. I would go fairly simular, Kieswetter has to prove himself quickly he's had a lot of chances. Davies is underrated imo, Bairstow keeps too and if Matt Prior really is the best keeper/batsman in world cricket atm then lets give him another chance, he played a couple of vital innings in the UAE.
I would consider Cook over Hales to open, I think given a chance he can play any format.
Instead of Woakes i'd go Luke Wright, he had a decent time in the big bash and is getting good experience in the IPL.
I wish Dernbach could bat because then i'd swap Bresnan for him.
I'd also include Borthwick in the squad.

I think Kieswetter has done a decent job to be honest. I really rate Prior as a test player but he's had plenty of ODI chances and never really come good. I rate Davies as well but I think Kieswetter still is worthy of a place. I worked out last year that in the first 8 ODI's of the summer, we won every game Kieswetter got 40 in and lost every game he didn't get 40 in. Showed how important he was.

I wouldn't really want to play Cook because I don't think he can hit it enough at the end of an innings. Think he would do a good job up front but struggle when the ball gets old and the field goes back.

I'm quite keen for Woakes because I'd like him to come into the ODI and test team soon. I like 5 specialist bowlers as well.

Wouldn't mind Borthwick in the squad.

You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

I'll be putting money on WI. Gayle's returning to the side this summer, and with Narine still fairly new there's no reason they can't go all the way. They've got a few other guys as well and they've looked good since the second T20 in England in September when they skittled the English for 80odd.

^ But this is Pakistan, hopefully they won't be match fixing the T20 WC.
