I said my feelings on the matter in detail on CricketWeb, I'll try and find it.

    ------------------

A few people were bigging up South Africa for the umpteenth time in the last few years so I had this to say:

SA actually have to start winning series before they get talked up as the number 1 imo. How can you seriously say they are better than everyone else when they failed to win their last series against Australia, India, England and Pakistan. 3 of those series were at home as well. Especially as England thrashed India and Australia the last time they played them. As Howe_Zat said if South Africa had had the year we had people would be all over them. The way you play your cricket shouldn't be a factor in how good you are imo.

As far as I see it all of the top sides have weaknesses. Australia don't have a great batting line up and much of it won't be around much longer. South Africa still don't seem to have a great spinner and always look prone to collapses, their number 6 onwards, is the weakest of the best teams imo. Pakistan really do look a good unit, but much of their new young batsmen are pretty untested in foreign conditions and it would be interesting to see how they cope in South Africa and Australia. England's problems are pretty clear from the Pakistan series, however, the way the bowlers performed makes me believe they have a better bowling line up than SA and Australia.

India are going to go through a developing stage in the next few years imo and won't be challenging the other 4 sides to be the best in the world. Will still be very tough opposition in India though.

As far as I see it all the top 4 sides are very closely matched, however, given the evidence over the last couple of years I reckon England, and Pakistan for that matter, are probably better than Australia and South Africa, no matter what the rankings will say after South Africa's tour of New Zealand. Not quite sure how South Africa have gained so many points considering they have only won 2 series, IIRC, since the beginning of 2009.

Still stand by this. England's attack is a but above the rest and our batsmen have been dominate against pretty much all seam (and most spin) over the last few years.

England WAS the ultimate team - you had good bowlers and your batsmen were doing well everywhere - till the UAE series that your weakness against spin was exposed....

And I agree SA need to start winning series Especially home series...

Hopefully the rest of the year will show just how good the Pakistan spinners were. I think they're much better than the ones Sri Lanka and India have to offer and I think we'll do better against the other SC teams. Although I'm not going to say to much after what's just happened.

I think SA get hyped up because of the way they play. They have the bowling attack of Steyn, Morkel and now Phillander and Tahir (all attackive bowlers) Kallis is finally starting to come out of his shell and looks stunning when he does. Amla and de Villiers are 2 of the classiest batsmen in the world.

Whereas, Pakistan have a gritty top order and some good spinners. England have a boring top 3 and their attack rely on pressure and consistency rather than raw pace.

They're decent, they just don't have the mystery that Ajmal does. Ian Bell for instance is a good player of spin, he just couldn't pick Ajmal.

I heard Mark Butcher say recently how Bell didn't play when Ajmal came to England in 2010, meaning he hadn't see as much of him as the rest.

Limited cricket, cute. Especially when the little asian fan boys who can't pay attention for more than a few hours get all hyped about it.

Who is? I assume the only reason you brought Anderson up is because he has but ****ed Tendy almost as badly as Broad has.

Mr.rager "Yes, one of the biggest flop in cricket history. When was the first time he stepped his foot on the crease? 16years old? youngest cricketer to ever play for India?

He is only good in home conditions and doesn't deliver when India needs him the most. One of the selfish player in Cricket. Also, not to mention his fails in England. He is Anderson's bunny. Sachin is just only good at scoring for himself, not for his team. He was given 8 opportunities in England, and he failed all 8 times. Just pathetic. Really is. Players come to senses after having bad innings, but not Sachin. He is headed for the impending doom of fails. Now he is dreading for his 100th hundred which he'll never get. I bet my money that he get injuries or retires from Cricket before getting his 100th hundred. On top of that, Indians are even more stupid for calling him the "god" of Cricket. They worship him FFS.

If you are Sachin's fan, you need to go in the shower and drown yourself. You will be doing "God" and me a big favour

My rant on Sachin is never going to end"
    .

my post was a reply for this. anderson and england fans plz dont go crazy for my comment,i apologize..
