I think Rep should stay as Rep because in Cricket you do have reputation

Is it possible to get an average, which could be the amount of posts in the last week. This could give accurate cricket averages. Still keep the top posters in the last 30 days though just have it in addition on a persons profile underneath runs.

This is quite a big ask but I was wondering if we could customise different threads? Like how we used to have the players at the top of the page we could do it around the side of the discussion. So for example for England v India match threads you could have players around the top and sides of the page.

Like this: http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cric...es/381449.html Cricinfo cut it down but when the quarters were on they had 8 players around there.

He is just too lazy to work. Isn't that right yo?

I believe we used to have players in the logo. Maybe, we can do that too?

You gotta cut out each player almost like a scissor. Its hard work bwoys and I don't do hard work.

Kidding. To do creative work, you have to be in the zone. Waiting for the zone to kick in

Cm'on now. Why do you always have to mean the opposite? If you are good at something, why do you deny it? You gotta find brand new excuses. LOL

if you look at the homepage of Cricinfo for the Ashes test they have lots of topics on it but don't use a lot of space on the index http://www.espncricinfo.com/

If you like the idea or have ideas to improve it please tell me.
With the recent filling of the index this would be very good.

We could have articles in separate threads that wouldn't cloud the index but would allow the match threads for clean discussion.

Now we wait for life's question. Can Panesar be bothered?

I don't get it? So, you think articles in match threads are not good? One solution would to post only the first main paragraph of article and then put "Read more" linking to the article site. (Thind suggested this and I agree)

The Cricinfo format - still not possible But the way we have Match Threads on top on index, that should keep it easy to find match threads? Also, what I'm gonna try to do is that those match threads at top of index, I'll try to get them to indicate whether there are unread posts in them or not... (In other words, get them to act like normal threads - bold when unread posts and normal font when read)

The match threads are fine. I'm just trying to solve the index problem. Make it bigger if you can.

Nah that sucks, because it doesn't link you to the new post, it takes you to the start of the thread.

    Re: Ideas for Cricfire v4

I think it would be useful if each user sees a little indicator (with a link) when he/she has direct response(s) to his/her posts in one or more threads. I think some of that facility is already there when you track reps back to the post it was awarded for. So I guess that could be extended to the idea I am proposing (similar to what CNN Disqus forum has).

    Anyway, just an idea. Thanks.
