    Fast bowlers a disadvantage almost?

It seems that slower bowlers - medium paces & spinners - have been more successful. Shane Watson was troubling Sachin whereas Tait and Lee couldn't. Other QT, Oram did very well but Southee was going for runs. Should teams maybe play more medium pacers rather than super quick bowlers?

I agree...lately that has been the trend...spinners/medium pacers tend to rise to the occasion more often than fast bowlers do. I personally think teams should play more medium pacers than really fast bowlers.

    --- Update ---

also fast bowlers are a rarity these days.

These fast bowlers are having their period at the moment. They are not getting their line and length right. To be successful on Indian/Bangladeshi/Sri Lankan's pitches you need to bowl like Waqar Younis, yorkers after yorkers. Never pitch in short or full.

These pitches are built for spinners, thats no surprise why they are doing good.

Thind you may very well be right. But you have to admit. There have been a shortage of ace fast bowlers. Guys like Brett Lee are a rarity these days.

I completely disagree, Akhtar still bowls around 150. You can't just compare all the bowlers with Brett Lee, Lee is an exemption to cricket. Even he is not at his best.

I said guys LIKE Lee. Not Lee himself. And Akhtar is a guy LIKE Lee. I said shortage not extinction.

Captain, what you smoking. No team has "1 or 2 players like lee" Lee is worth more than Diamonds, Uranium etc. But I feel bowlers like Shane Watson, Jacob Oram, Scott Styrus, Collingwood, Joginder Sharma (yes, i said it), etc. are far more useful than say Tait

He is still as good. If not that, he is 95% of the old lee. He's bowling on Indian pitches, of course, he'll look ordinary.

If he is good then why isn't he performing and Zaheer is performing better than him. Huh

    --- Update ---

Panesar proved you wrong. He is saying the opposite of what we said.

That is totally random. Your point: every team has 1-2 Lee's in their team. My Point: No, they don't.

My point still stands. I don't care about your point. You are in love with Brett Lee. Go make out with him.

Fast bowlers are still key. There's a difference between seam bowlers and very quick bowlers. People like Lee and Steyn still cause a lot of problems.

There you have it. SA got 2 bowlers like Lee. Steyn and Morkel. Zaheer is close to Lee. Shoaib is Lee from Pakistan. Anderson is Lee from England.

Only this part is correct. Rest is all wrong Only 3 nations have good bowlers - Australia, South Africa & Pakistan. Rest are ****.

The only fast bowlers who have shown they can do well here are Steyn, Lee, Zaheer and Gul because they can reverse swing the ball or bowl very quickly.
