Finally, it looks like WI have turned the corner? Hope so.. this performance was solid, even without Chanders and a top order fail as usual. Well played! I'd like to see them give England the shivers. Who knows? They might even win!

Sammy and Samuels both out. Great innings from the both of them. Respect.

Roach. How hard is it to keep your foot behind the line? Fast bowlers must truly be retarded.

WTF!! Cook caught off a no ball AGAIN!!! This is pathetic, obvious match fixing now.

^ Dude Cook's been caught twice off no-balls. Roach has bowled 4 no balls in 6 overs.

This is disgraceful from Roach. If he were playing for Aus I'd be calling for him to be dropped for this. 6 No balls in seven overs. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

    Goooooooooooooneeeeee!! Gtfo cook.

    3/24. Lol!!!

    Stop giving Strauss centuries

6.10pm Lots of handshakes from West Indies players to Andrew Strauss. Good spirit between the sides.
    Good match fixing

I think the new way they deal with no balls has become a major problem. They give the benefit to the bowler, but review it if it's out. For all we know Roach could have been bowling no balls every delivery before the wickets, it's just that they were so close that they weren't called. Then he bowls from the same place and they check it upstairs and it happens to be just slightly over. If Roach had known he was bowling no balls, he could have dragged his foot behind the line.

I feel for Roach though. I'm going through a no ball problem myself just now, and it's a lot harder to get out of than people think. When you shorten your run up you end up over stretching to get to the line. I think what I'm doing is moving my foot forward at the last minute. So I'm in a position to bowl from the crease, but then overstep at the last minute.

    Good match fixing
Surely you should be happy that Strauss will be in the tour for India? And if this by WI is match fixing, one has to look at India's recent performances in a different perspective.

Cook made 3/24... he nicked off 3 times in total, for 24 runs.

I'm really glad to see Strauss making runs, it means he'll almost definitely be around next Ashes, so we'll have a free wicket and early inroads into the top order every innings.

Yes you can target him with the short ball again.

Well actually if you look @ the evidence Strauss is pretty bad at playing a decent short ball. MJ got him with a bouncer in the Cardiff test, he hooks from low to high (meaning the ball goes up in the air) etc. I still laugh at him getting out hooking twice in Brisbane in 06/07.

Anyway you do realise that MJ isn't in our side any more, right? Or was the last Aus match you watched the Sydney test in 2011?

Well as far as I know he missed all the summer and the WI series with injury. May still be in Mickey's strongest XI for all I know.

Mickey doesn't even rate him highly enough to guarantee him a start in the ODI side. He won't even be close to the test squad if Mickey has half a brain.
