WI need to get KP out soon or this match will be over very quickly.
All hail Oscar the fortune-teller.cabinet96vids posted a comment 1 minute ago
I can see Pietersen getting out trying to attack Gabriel here.
Strauss getting worried by now.
imma sleep, Lets see the result in the morning!
LOL Bell and Cook take England home, belt the spinner as well. CSB Mad!!
FTR, this was our tail for the innings (as Jimmy batted 3)
8. Matt Prior
9. Tim Bresnan
10. Stuart Broad
11. Graeme Swann
And Graeme Swann used to open for Nottinghamshire. LOL.
England Won by 5 Wickets
Bell-end hits a 50 on a flat pitch in home conditions... #notmad, Samuels can't even bowl a doosra.
England had insane luck during this test though, they're really not as good as the English media likes to think. I read a LOT of appalling stuff written about WI before the test started, they fought well, hopefully they can win next match.
Why would I be mad? WI aren't my team... England should be worried by how far they were pushed by WI. We were pushed IN WI but aren't England supposed to be unbeatable cricketing gods in their own home?
Meh, obviously I'm slightly disappointed with the performance but I don't think it's really a bad thing. Frankly I think it's probably a better thing for the team to come up against, in preparation for the SA series later in the season. Given how we've dominated Australia, Sri Lanka, India, New Zealand, Pakistan etc...last time they came, one game isn't going to get me worried. Especially considering the 3 players who did best for us all had question marks surrounding them before the series started.
FTR, CSB had this to say after the close of play yesterday.
So mad.One thing should be for sure... if WI can get through Trott and and one of KP/Cook, Ian Bell won't be any use in this situation. Because the pressure would be on.
Oh and GTFO out CSB. How did we have "absurd luck"? And if anything we damn deserve it after all the **** luck we've had recently. Defensive shots rolling back onto the stumps, sweep shots being caught in the forearm and torso, key players being given out with umpires call on impact and hitting, losing 4 crucial tosses all over the winter etc...And Broad is entitled to some as well, after he had several deliveries dropped and plumb LBW's turned down against India.
I should've known better than to say that about Bell-end. I should've been able to see...
Flat pitch - Check
Poor/no spinner - Check
Home conditions - Check
Another batsman (Cook) going well at the same time - Check
Everything perfect for Bell-end to make runs.
It's funny how there never is any real pressure on a batsmen. If he'd failed you would have used it as a reason to argue that he cracks under pressure. Well not many people score big centuries against stunning attacks on minefields in a crucial fourth innings run chase.
Also funny how much flatter the pitch looked when "Bell-end" came in.
You wouldn't have looked silly because the rest of the side would have managed to stick around if he scored his runs quick enough.
And you contradict yourself there as Bell came in with everyone above him failing.
Point is: Yes, we all get it that it's great and even yours truly has pointed it out in that thread but if you keep shoving it in our face, it gets annoying HEHE! Everytime India bats, I don't go around saying Sachin has 51 Test centuries and 49 ODI centuries totalling a whopping HUNDRED centuries blah blah...
We have sloggers in our tail because we have a slow top order, we need to get quick runs. You have blockers in your tail because you have sloggers like Warner in your top order. It evens out.
Anyway why have you come out of your 2 hours hibernation?
I have come out of hibernation to post annoying things that will make you mad, Oscar.
And while Cook and Trott are BORING, they're not really that slow.
